Cooking -Biblical Nutrition

You are what you eat! God directed us to eat what is good and to glorify HIM with our bodies. Today there are growing rates of obesity and preventable diseases, so it is more important than ever that we train our children to enjoy eating healthy foods. One of the best way to do that is to get them involved with some hands-on learning in the kitchen!

As a busy homeschool family, you may find it a joyful relief when your children not only know HOW to make some meals on their own, but they ENJOY doing so regularly and can perhaps even take turns cooking an occasional meal for the family!

Once a month, we will utilize the Kid Cook Real Food DVD lessons. Our kids age K3-5th will learn age appropriate kitchen skills and will enjoy making healthy foods. It is structured so that all the kids will be working together to create a tasty & healthy meal or snack by the end of the class period. This curriculum is tailored to accommodate special dietary needs, as many kids today have food sensitivities and allergies. And of course all meals will be Biblically Kosher!

Many kitchen utensils will be available at co-op, however each family may be asked to bring some common items from home so that each child may participate rather than having to wait to practice certain things like knife skills.
